Tracy Atkin
Founding Trustee & Chair
Tracy is a Chartered Accountant with a Business Degree from Victoria University. She has a background in financial services spanning London, Auckland and Wellington. This has included roles such as Head of Finance and Strategy, Head of Risk and Compliance, as well as Audit, Management Consulting and Forensic Accounting. Tracy currently works in investment banking and angel investing in Marlborough, working with start-ups and early-stage businesses. She has an interest in entrepreneurship, and in 2021 studied ‘Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies’ through Harvard Business School. Her connection with the RSE programme came from 10 years working in the NZ wine industry, and a relocation to Marlborough in 2018 to establish a National Grape and Wine Research Institute. Tracy is an active volunteer, including 3 Board roles and working with the Red Cross Refugee Resettlement Programme. Tracy is passionate about V2V as a way of giving back to RSE workers and to grow entrepreneurship in the Pacific Islands.
Sarah Bates
Founding Trustee & Secretary
Sarah is the co-owner of a successful family construction company in South Marlborough. She has a background in banking, finance and accounts. Sarah has volunteered on several committees and boards in her local community of South Marlborough and is part of the team building a new Early Learning hub in Seddon.
In 2019 she set up a local Business networking group for her community to help grow the local business network, gaining funding to produce a documentary series on South Marlborough. Sarah set up Kiwi Clean Living with her mother Jill after seeing the need to help women and children throughout the Pacific Island Region, who still cook over open fires and suffer the health effects from this. The Pacific Island region is dear to her heart after spending her secondary school years at boarding school where she made life-long friendships with girls from PNG, Vanuatu and the Solomons.
“V2V Charitable trust will enable RSE workers to reach for their dreams”.
Nicci Amour
Trustee
Nicci is Advocacy Manager for Wine Marlborough. Nicci has spent her career problem solving for people and communities: first as a scientist, then in a housing start-up, and prior to landing in Marlborough she established an innovation and research consultancy in the Bay of Plenty's horticulture sector. Originally from a farm in Southland, and then on to Queenstown, Nicci's wine experience started in Central Otago. Her journey over the last 20 years traversed Hong Kong, Brisbane and Tauranga. Nicci is keen to dig deep with Wine Marlborough's members and understand how she can really make a difference.
Jim White
Trustee
Jim is the Technical and Sustainable Development Director at Cloudy Bay Vineyards in Marlborough, where he has worked for the past 14 years. Hailing from Melbourne, an interest in horticulture led to studying agriculture from which Jim started his career in viticulture, working across several Australian regions before joining Cloudy Bay in 2010. Today Jim's role encompasses vineyard and winery technical matters plus a broad range of responsibilities including H&S, engineering, major capital projects and CSR programmes. Jim chairs the Cloudy Bay CSR committee and helped it form the ideas for the Good Pick Fund and developing the partnership with Village to Village Charitable Trust.
